Commercial Construction Resources and News
Center 21 in downtown Oakland presented Source with a unique challenge. With entrances on two streets, the same building has more than one address: 2101 Webster St. and 2100 Franklin St.
Even if you’re not in commercial construction, at some point you’ve dealt with impacts from the disruption to the supply chain.
We did a complete renovation of the lobby, creating new entrances from different streets and built out conference centers and new workout facilities. As we finish Phase 1, we wanted to share what’s gone into this exciting project so far.
These days, morale matters more than ever. When morale is high, people enjoy work more, and their quality is that much higher. On the construction site, we keep it positive, while keeping it safe. Here’s what we do to keep morale high during hard times…

For many industries, working remotely is already a somewhat common practice. When COVID-19 sent everyone but the essential workers home, this new reality became the new normal for all companies. Source is somewhat unique in that as a commercial construction company, a lot of our employees are more used to working in the field than in front of a computer.
“We’ve been able to grow a quality, loyal workforce because we treat our people with the same integrity that we offer our clients,” said Perry. “The people we hire are looking to be leaders, not just workers. As we grow, we’re mindful of creating the type of foundation that allows us to keep the culture of quality.”
