When you live in uncertain times, instead of fun planning, you face big questions: When will we get back to the office? When we do go back, what on earth will our offices look like? We don’t have a crystal ball, so we did the next best thing. We looked to our design friends at Gensler for some insight about the future of commercial office space.

As you know, the employees of Source have a great time working together. People often say it feels like spending time with friends, only you’re constantly building things. So how do you (as a leader) keep that great vibe going if you also have to come down on people each time they slip up?

We hoped and planned for this day, and now it’s here. The restrictions are lifting, and the Source crew is finally getting back to its second home- the construction site. But what’s changed?

For many industries, working remotely is already a somewhat common practice. When COVID-19 sent everyone but the essential workers home, this new reality became the new normal for all companies. Source is somewhat unique in that as a commercial construction company, a lot of our employees are more used to working in the field than in front of a computer.
